In the time of the supermodel, Christy Turlington was it for me. You can keep your Cindy, Kate, Naomi, and Linda. ~CHRISTY. That was where it was AT!! I remember being like 11 or 12, and seeing the movie Catwalk. I think that's really what did it. From my pre-teen perspective, no one was, or could ever be as beautiful or cool or awesome. And I was totally right. Christy is known throughout the industry as one of the sweetest and smartest models in the biz. She is currently associated with several charitable organizations, she's an avid yoga practitioner, and author of 'Living Yoga: Creating a Life Practice.' She's also directed a documentary -"No Woman No Cry" which focuses on maternal health, and the lack of quality health care for mothers around the world. Christy is a mother, an activist, and an all around admiral human being. So ultimately, the woman who started out as my super model turned out to be my super hero. Much love, CT!!
