When it comes to knitwear, Sandra Backlund is a force to be reckoned with. The Swedish designer who graduated from Beckmans College of Design in 2004, continues to push the fashion envelope -as it were -with awe inspiring designs that floor the masses and bring new light to knitwear as we know it. In this collection, Backlund uses metal yarn, which is made of 100% copper. Sandra=100% genius!
If you’re already familiar with Backlund’s designs, you are aware that this collection doesn’t actually stray too far from what she normally does, (albeit what we see here is a bit more user friendly than past pieces), but really can you blame her? Backlund continues to give us flattering silhouettes using distinctive shapes, with tons of interesting detail, that all happens to look great on the body.
