A: Critically acclaimed, Dutch designer, Marloes ten BhÖmer -That’s who.
Marloes studied product design at The Higher School of Arts Arnhem, and after graduating, earned her MA at the Royal College of Art in London. Since then, Marloes’ work has been exhibited all over the world. Some of her works are purely conceptual, while others are actually wearable. In 2009, she launched her first commercial shoe entitled ‘beigefoldedshoe,’ which consisted of a single piece of folded and cut leather molded around a stainless steel infrastructure and heel. The shoes that Marloes ten BhÖmer creates are irrefutably architectural, and downright beautiful. She definitely approaches women’s footwear from a different …erm… angle.
